No Message Waiting Indicator using GrandStream HT286
- Does anyone know how to get the message waiting indicator to work using a Grandstream HT-286 ATA?
I set the SUBSCRIBE to MWI to 'Yes' and still does not work. Is there something else that I need to do?
Thanks.

I think is set to no. Please verify your configuration against the attached.
Let me know.

Re: No Message Waiting Indicator using GrandStream HT286
Hi,
I reconfigured 'exactly' as per the instructions you provided. After Reboot, I left myself a message and the MWI did not come on on my portable phone. I do hear the Pulse beeps before making a call but no MWI on my display....
Does this feature take a little time to start working?
Please let me know.

It does take a while, or at least it can. A few years ago you had to wait over an hour before it would turn the indicator on or off. It got better, but maybe it has slowed down now and needs a nudge.
I don't personally use it as I make my PBX deal with voicemail so I can't really say. It will take 5 to 10 minutes to change though as far as I know, it's far from instant.

Hi,
Just wondering if there is anyone out there that is using the Grandstream HT286 with the Message Waiting Indicator working.
I am using a Vtech Portable phone as well as, a Vista 200 phone hard connected to the wall and the MWI is not working on either...
Thanks.

I'm using the same ATA and the MWI green light starts blinking 1 minute after a message is left in the voicemail.
Once the message is erased, it takes another 1 minute for MWI to stop blinking.
Attached is my config for the HT286 ATA with my personal info masked.
