constant service interuption

Post by Xirus »

Hi
At least once a week but typically twice, the service goes down and my PBX cannot register.
I switch to the alternate (voip2.freephoneline.ca) and it works for a few days then it is down as well.
I switch back to the main (voip.freephoneline.ca), and it works for few days.
Then again ... - you get the picture...

This is very annoying, and my wife and kids are left without phone for hours, till I come back home from work and switch server.
Is there other server which is more reliable that I can use?

thanks

Hi there,

Please try this:
http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=15112#p61222

You must configure the PBX following FPL guidelines:
http://support.freephoneline.ca/entries ... redentials

Please try and let me know.

The servers are all fine right now. What it sounds like is you are getting blocked from one server so you are switching to another where you are not blocked. The block will clear on the first so when you get blocked on the second you go back to the first. That is what it sounds like to me anyway.

The likely reason why you are getting blocked is because a timer is probably not correct and is trying to register too often. If you open a support ticket and them PM Fongo Support with the ticket number (see sig for links) they should be able to see more about your account and help you double check your timers.

I have been getting this same problem recently. In fact, it happened to my phone just 1 hour ago. My girlfriend has a similar situation. We have been using Grandstream H286 ata's for 2 years without issue. So this problem has just cropped up. The settings have never been altered during that time.

I have been unplugging the ata for around 20 minutes. Then it seems to clear, until the next time. As several posters are having this problem, I would suggest something is amiss on the Freephoneline end.

Hi there,

I suggest to open a support ticket for this issue or check your ata config.

Perhaps a few settings need to be adjusted.

Thanks,
