Freephoneline on Windows 8

I can't find anywhere if Freephoneline Desktop works on Windows 8.

I just installed the Freephoneline client on a Dell Venue pro tablet about a month ago, so I can confirm it at least works on that Windows 8 machine. You also need to install the latest version of JAVA though.

I have my doubts the Freephoneline client will work with the Windows 8 RT machines though.

Thanks, good to know. Its frustrating needing to replace my laptop, and not knowing what software will be supported on what platform going forward.

Because Windows 8 is not listed under "Windows PC app requirements", - only Windows 7, Windows XP, and Windows Vista are listed, I wonder if this is a lucky accident for you, or if Freephoneline is committed to working on Windows 8 - full version.

I do not think there is a huge commitment to Windows 8 from Freephonline's part. Just that most Windows programs work with Windows 8. I should add, I have my version of the freephoneline client in Windows 8 desktop mode. I have no idea how it integrate in the tile mode, nor is it a big need for me to do so.

Well, for me, almost none of my old favorite XP programs work on Windows 8, this is why I asked - can't assume anything anymore.
