How to Change my modem

I think my thomson is not working properly anymore. What can I do? can I buy a new one in future shop and have it works at home? what can I do and how I will find all the info to set up? .. I check to buy a new one in my area. Just want to confirm that if I buy a wireless modem/router with voip it will work in my house. I have unlimited dsl internet and homephone with freephoneline

Who is your Internet carrier? I think you would have to talk to them first to see if they allow for 3rd party modems, and which ones. But if you can, it is as simple as getting a modem, and applying the pppoe settings.
