Hi all,
I seem to be having trouble with a setting on my ATA. I set everything up and everything works great for a little while and then all of a sudden the phone no longer rings for incoming calls. I fiddle with the settings a bit, not really changing anything and I can usually get it to work again, but it only lasts for a short while before no longer receiving the incoming calls again. Sometimes just resetting the ATA is enough, other times it is not. I have the phone number set to ring simultaneously to my cell phone and the call goes to my cell fine but doesn't ring to the house phone. If I take my cell off the call forwarding then sometimes the person calling in hears ringing on their end even though my house phone isn't ringing and sometimes they get a busy signal.
I have a Cisco spa112 ATA, cable internet though Teksavvy with a Thomson modem bought from them and a D-Link router. I have the ports opened on the router, but I haven't done anything else in regards to the settings on it. I have contacted support and they say everything is fine on their end and the issue is likely a bad connection between my ATA and phone however the phone is plugged directly into the ATA and I have tried several phone lines, all relatively new, with no luck. I have looked through the forums here and checked all similar issues such as problems with the settings for Cfwd and DND but had no luck.
Outgoing calls work fine. My wife's work number through fongo mobile also forwards to the house phone, so I don't know if there is an issue related to conflicting call forwarding but if there is then I can't find it. I have tried wiping my ATA and starting over from scratch but the same issue arises.
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. I am not super knowledgeable about this kind of stuff, but I know enough to get it working initially. It is just especially frustrating that I get it to work and then it randomly stops. I have to regularly call my own house just to see if my phone is working or not.
Any ideas?

Re: Trouble receiving incoming calls
I am having the same issues.
There seems to always be issues with FPL lately. Never does it work fine.
This evening when I have call fwd set up, the house phone does not ring. The call goes to my cell (and should fwd to my wife's cell after), but just goes to my cell only.
When I disable call fwd, the home phone does not ring. It just foes to FPL vm.
Really getting fed up of the issues all the time.

Re: Trouble receiving incoming calls
I am seriously fed up of FPL.
When I was having issues with sound - they asked that I change the sip server to voip4.freephoneline.ca:6060. I changed it and the quality was slightly better. Then I changed my codec to G711a and it was slightly better. But then the call fwding stopped working. The house phone would not ring.
Now they tell me to use voip3.freephoneline.ca. With this the call fwd works, but the quality is crap. But the call fwding stops at my cell (calls home, my cell, but does not continue to wife's cell).
I have cable internet with nothing running (no streaming, no downloads, nothing, nada).
Speed test:
