Re: Question?
What exactly do you want to do? Nothing you have said so far gives me any clue of what you want to do. Be specific. I should not have to guess.

Re: Question?
For one, the second question should have been answered in first reply will I get bill for long distance if someone calls me. For two can I take calls with this for my radio as its all software based now I know you know what I mean this seems like a form of trolling IMHO I am trying to be nice and not have to repeat my question 500 times when I said the first time I wanna take live calls for my radio can I do that with this service. I am using Freephone? Here are some videos that might clue you in not trying to be a dick but repeating myself like a record player gets annoying also I wanna do something like this but all voip no cell phones I wanna ake the calls via my PC so it goes on my radio.

Once again, I am trying my best to explain I wanna bring my sound in from the phone to my radio out and have it all work on air when someone calls in this is possible right?

Re: Question?
Sure you can. Whether you have the competence to do it is questionable.wbgs-founder wrote:Can I use this for my radio? ...
No, you won't.wbgs-founder wrote:... Also will I be billed if someone long-distance calls me?

Re: Question?
There is no need to repeat yourself 500 times, but you do maybe have to do it once so we have an idea of what you are trying to do.
To me a 'radio' is something I have in the car or listen to The New Hot899 on at home. From the video links you gave a 'radio' means something completely different to you. Now you may see the confusion as there is no way my car 'radio' could be set up to run the Fongo app, or be made into an ATA to take a call. At the moment at any rate.
OK, so to try and answer your questions:
You will never be charged for incoming calls, no matter what part of Canada, or the world for that matter, the person is calling from. When making a call you will only be charged if you call to an out of free area number.
For the second part of your question, that would depend an awful lot on how you have things set up. I'm not a DJ nor do I have a mixer table. The only time I have been in a radio station was when I was installing an access control system. They did let me start a song live on air which felt kind of special though. My point being is I don't know what audio inputs and outputs you have on your mixer deck, or computer. What I can do is offer you suggestions as to what can be done with the systems here and with any other information you provide we might be able to get something working.
You have three basic options for a voip solution with what Fongo/FPL provides.
Fongo provides an APP that you install on your iOS or Android phone. This will provide you with at basic an audio out via the headphone jack and probably a mic input to, but again this depends on what leads you have already. The app will work with Blue Tooth to give you function similar to the one in the first video BUT some people have reported that BT did not work correctly on their devices so I would test on something cheaper than that $300 device.
FPL provides 2 solutions.
1. You can use their desktop app, which is essentially a bit of software you install on your PC. This uses the default mic and speaker devices on your PC and to my knowledge you can't change that. This might connect straight to the system you have, but again I have no idea what your radio setup is. It might be an option for you to run this on a second PC and use the input / outputs of that PC and integrate it into your main system. A warning here though, the desktop app has been known to play up a bit. I have not had any trouble with it here, but I don't use it much.
2. The other option FPL provides if to offer an 'unlock key' ($50 cost) which basically allows you to use any 3rd party VOIP device or software. This could be an ATA where you could plug a normal phone into it and then I am sure there must be hundreds of ways to get that into your system as radio shows have been doing that for years. There are also many paid and free SIP phones that you can install on your PC, again most will utilise your input / output devices on that machine. To me these will be a lot more stable than the desktop.
The first two options you can try and use for free, only the last option I gave will cost you money to set up. Once you have it set up the only calling costs you will have, as I mentioned earlier, would be if you call to an out of free area number.
Just as another thought, if you already have a phone solution set up, you could always just forward the number you are given to your existing number. If your existing number is in the free calling list it won't cost you anything from FPL, but your other phone company may.
I have been on this forum for quite a few years now, and not once has anyone come here asking to do what you are asking - so there are no default answers to give you. If you can work with something as simple as a 3.5mm audio input and can provide a 3.5mm mic output, your simplest solution may be to use the Fongo app and then a lead like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-5mm-Jack-AU ... 0706887678. Plug the audio side to your audio input on your system, and then send a mic output from your system to the mic side of that plug.
Anyway, hope I have an understanding of what you want and some of this helps. You will need to provide more details though if you need more help as I am sure no one here really knows your setup and will be able to help you directly.

Re: Question?
I am not familiar with Voice Meeter nor Radio Automation so The only thing I would suggest is to try it and then let us know how you got on and what did or didn't work as expected.
As a word of caution I would be sure to only route the mic you speak in to the audio in of whatever app/device you settle on, as opposed to the full audio you are broadcasting, otherwise you will get a feed back loop.

Re: Question?
I do not know the capabilities of your gear, so I cannot comment on if and how it will work on freephoneline. But if you have a spare laptop with audio in and outputs, you should be able to record a conversation. You can adjust the volume using Windows.

Re: Question?
It's a little hard to follow some of your posts, and it seems that what you are trying to do is a little more complicated that just getting a device working.wbgs-founder wrote:That's another issue, I can set the mic device or speaker device in freephoneline.ca or whatever the site is called this is kind of annoying since I would how it would work fine?
The impression I am getting is you should look for a local IT guy that might be able to come in and help you out. If you provide them with a link to my previous posts that indicates the capabilities of each of the systems, they should be able to use that information to try and work it into your current system.
The reason why I cannot give you a complete answer is because I have no idea what equipment you are trying to link the phone to. I was hoping that by typing up what each system is capable of you would be able to work the rest out, but as I said you may need to ask someone to come and help you so they can actually see what system you have.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on.
