Apps download for Mac - damaged download

Post by nrp »

Just switching to a Macbook from PC and trying to install the desktop software. Tried at least five times - each time I try to launch, I get the message "Freephone damaged, move to trash" or something to that effect.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, but I still get the same message regardless of whether I click to open or right click/control click to open/launch. I followed the link provided to the Gatekeeper explanation and it hasn't helped. I didn't change the Gatekeeper settings because it suggested that the Gatekeeper settings are irrelevant because the app is not from the Mac Store, or an identified developer.

Any other tips?

Never mind - I read on the Facebook help pages that you do have to temporarily change the Gatekeeper settings even though the Apple page suggests otherwise. Was able to launch.
