Currently have FPL Internet & HP bundle...recently ordered Worldline cable HS.
Can i use my Thomson TG784 modem..which has been configured for VOIP as ata adapter and run Ethernet cable from my cable internet modem to the WAN port on the Thomson TG784?....would my home phone work this way or do i need to go out and purchased new ata adapter?

Re: Thomson TG784 modem as ATA Adapter?
I managed to get it working at my daughters house. She used to have DSL and so had a TG784, but then moved to cable.
I can't remember which config I used, but one of them allowed me to use the TG as a router and ATA with the cable modem box. If I had to guess I would try the Ethernet WAN DHCP option when you go through the setup on the Thomson Gateway page.
I believe I attached the modem via the WAN port, but it could have been attached via one of the router ports.
Sorry I can't give an exact answer, but by playing around with a few settings I was able to get it working with her cable modem.
