11 digit dialing

Post by psycon »

11 digit dialing.
I use both a softphone (Qutecom) as well as a Sip phone (nokia e65).
sometimes when people calling me the caller id shows as 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx, so i cannot return the call unless i manually punch the number in..
since the phones i am using do not do not have configurable dialing plans. can you guys enable 11 digit dialing on your end.?

Could you give me some specifics? Did it fail when you tried it?

Steve and I just tested dialing my FPL as well as my cell with a 1519 before my number and it worked fine. 11 digit dialing has always been a part of our dial plan, our system automatically prefixes a +1 at before each number, which is also why you cannot dial 1-800, but dialing 800 works.

weird. i jsut tried too and it worked... it was not working with some 778 numbers that had called me and i simply redialled the CID... I will get you some example numbers and pm them to you, if it happens again that is...

question though,, why can you not dial 1-800... if you can dial 604 or 1604 and they both work, why not 800,866...etc...

i know the issue now.. previously I was able to call area code 250 for free, but 1250 would state its not in my tariff plan... however it seems 250 is no longer free to call..... which seems to be more inline with what the free calling areas are listed as on the site ;P

to whoever fixed it.. can you put it back the old way =D, i liked it better
