My Cisco/SPA122 was working fine till about two days ago. Then it fails to connect to freephoneline.ca.
I've tried everything and I brought the unit into work to attempt connecting (thinking Rogers did something). It seem to connect so I disconnected it.
HOWEVER... my SIP status remains "connected" under SIP settings even if I don't have the unit plugged in?
Question: Is something hung around my account preventing me from connecting correctly?
Question: is it possible someone has gained access to my SIP ID/PWD and connecting before me? IF so how can I reset my SIP password?
How does one get support when things stop working?
Thanks

Re: Connection stopped working - status shows connected?
It takes a while before the online status changes from connected to disconnected. The system isn't too quick about seeing that you have gone.
People with certain Rogers modems are advised to use a special sip server. Check the settings here for that http://support.freephoneline.ca/entries ... redentials
It 'could' be possible someone else has connected via your account, but unlikely. A fairly easy way to tell (other than calling your number and seeing if someone else picks up) is to connect with another sip device (something like the x-lite http://www.counterpath.com/x-lite.html) with your ATA NOT plugged in and you should see this new sip device come up as the user agent in your online panel. Disconnect and leave it a while (say an hour) and then check online and see if the user agent has changed back. If it has and your ATA is not plugged in, I would suggest another device is connecting on your account.
Head to Fongo's main page and check the support pages for opening a ticket if you need to talk to support.
