how to change sip password

Post by kainip »

My freepbx system was compromised two days ago. I have since reinstalled and updated the system. My sip unlock key was stolen. I can see that it is used to make chargeable calls in my account to-day.

I would like to know how to change the unlock key.

Thanks

You will need to send in a support ticket on this one. Only they can reset it unfortunately.

Personally I think it would be good for us to be able to reset it ourselves (not make one up, but click a button and for the system to generate a new password). So far we are unable to do this though.

Do you have the correct email address for the technical support to open a ticket. I got this email from talkfreely@fongo.com when I tried to open a ticket.
"We do not provide customer support for Freephoneline Desktop, Freephoneline VoIP Unlock Keys (SIP configuration files) and third party ATA devices. This ticket will now be closed"
I also send a email to support@freephoneline.ca, I hope this is the correct email. I haven't receive a reply yet.

Thanks

You should have got a ticket number with that, so I would now suggest sending a PM to Fongo Support and ask them to look into it.

They have a ticket system and tend to only fix problems that have a ticket attached to it. Although you ticket says closed it is still in their system so if you PM the number to them they can look at it more.

Once again, I really think this should be automated as it has come up more than a few times.

I requested for a password reset, but not getting anywhere. Now, my account is blocked. Since yesterday afternoon, I have no phone service. Looks like I am out of phone service for the weekend.
At least I can open a ticket for the reason that my account is blocked. I couldn't open a ticket to reset the password before. I hope I will have this resolved soon.
