Voice Mail Indicator on the phone doesn't flash!
I just ported my number to Dell Voice using my Linksys SPA2102 ATA last week and set up the voice mail (VM) by logging into my online account. Since the porting, I haven't seen the VM indicator on my phone flashing and just out of curiosity, dialed *98 last night. Surprisingly, there were 7 messages! My VM indicator had always been working before porting my number from my previous VOIP provider. What do I need to do to make sure that VM indicator flashes when there's a new message? Thanks!

Called tech support this morning, was asked to disconnect ATA & Modem power in sequence, disconnect phone line, wait for 30 sec, reconnect modem, phone & ATA in sequence. Did as I was told, called my DellVoice line from another phone & left a message in VM box. Waited for about 20 min but still no indicator.

I don't know why Fongo has this feature. It quite clearly does not work, or when it does you have to wait up to 20 minutes for it to do anything.
I don't see the point - just remove it and use the server power elsewhere.

Re: Voice Mail Indicator on the phone doesn't flash!
Called again to tech support. The guy told me to do a factory reset of my ATA. I'll do this later and post the result here though I don't think that there's going to be any positive outcome.
Is there any way to forward my messages to an email address? I don't see any options in the VM settings in my DellVoice web account. Does the Call Waiting work?
Latest Update:
Did a factory reset this morning, left a message in my mail box but still the VM indicator doesn't blink even after 15 mins though the message showed up in my online account.

I just set up my linksys pap2t with dellvoice and am having the same problem. I left myself 2 messages and the phone is not indicating I've got new voicemail.
I also have a Vonage account and with the same phone if there's new voicemail the phone will display "new voice message" on the screen.

Wait a good 20 minutes after leaving a message to see if the light comes on, and then a good 20 minutes after you clear the message to see if the light turns off again.zzbsb wrote:I just set up my linksys pap2t with dellvoice and am having the same problem. Last time it took Dell Voice 48 hours to inform me that I had a Voice Mail.

Re: Voice Mail Indicator on the phone doesn't flash!
Hi Fongo,
Once again, I have been informed about a voice mail nearly 48 hours after the message was left. Could you please fix this? There is no use of having a voice mail if I have to wait such a long time before I am being informed. In addition, there is no sound notification when I receive a voice mail on my iPhone. Can you please add this?
As a general observation, It seems like you (Fongo) are not sending an iPhone push notification, but that it is included in the Dell Voice application. It would be much better to have a push notification for this.
In general I love the Fongo service. But the voice mail needs to be improved urgently!
Thanks for your support.

Dear Fongo,
It seems that the latest application update solves the voice mail issues. Thanks a lot for this great improvement.
Keep up the good work.

Re: Voice Mail Indicator on the phone doesn't flash!
well, for me, I have the reverse.
the indicator light always flash even after i have deleted the message and that I have setup my ATA to not have the MWIEnable or X_MWIEnable uncheck.
almost 24 hours and still flashing.
i will really don't want to do a reset of my ATA. Took me a lot of time to fix all kind of small issue here and there and I will not remember all of them

Re: Voice Mail Indicator on the phone doesn't flash!
Not sure this will work because I have a different ATA model.
Try to power cycle modem, router and ATA for about 20 minutes.
In order to not loose any messages while the ATA is off, forward your calls to your cell or an alternate phone before.
