Hi to everyone out there who may be listening (or reading!),
I've been using the voicemail forward to email feature for years without issue, but all of a sudden a few weeks ago it just stopped sending the messages to my email. After extensive testing, here is what is happening:
Test #1 Settings (my normal settings): Voicemail to Email is "forward", 5 rings, password for remote access only
Result: Voicemail picks up, does not email message. No evidence of message in desktop voicemail app. Message is lost in cyberspace somewhere.
Test #2 Settings: Voicemail to Email is "copy", 5 rings, password for remote access only
Result: Voicemail picks up, does not email message. Copy of message is in desktop voicemail app.
Test #3 Settings: Voicemail to Email is "copy", 1 ring, password for remote access only
Result: Voicemail picks up, emails message to me as it should. Copy of message is in desktop voicemail app. It worked as it should!
Test #4 Settings: Voicemail to Email is "copy", 4 rings, password for remote access only
Result: Voicemail picks up, does not email message. Copy of message is in desktop voicemail app.
And now here's where it gets really weird...
I then tested 5 rings, 4 rings, 3 rings, 2 rings and then 1 ring again, and none of them sent the voicemail to my email, although the voicemail is showing as recorded and available through the online desktop app. So the first time I selected 1 ring (Test #3), it emailed the message to me as it should, but then after trying all the other number of rings (5, 4, 3, 2) and then trying 1 ring at the end again, the voicemails were not emailed. So even the 1 ring did not work as it should the second time I tried it even though it worked a few minutes earlier. In all cases, I saw the voicemail copied into the online desktop app, but they did not email properly (except for that first time I selected 1 ring).
Also, the "voicemail waiting" message alert has been randomly activated somehow while doing these tests, although I definitely didn't activate it. There is no reason for it to have activated automatically simply because I was only changing the number of rings before voicemail is supposed to pick up.
Based on these tests, I think there is definitely something wrong in the freephoneline voicemail system. Perhaps someone can take a look and see if they can fix it please, or perhaps someone has some information for me regarding this issue? For now I will leave my settings to copy the voicemail to the desktop app so I can at least retrieve the message, but I would really prefer it if the voicemail to email feature worked properly again.

Can you please check your spam folder and see if there is any VM email there.

I checked my spam folder before posting and nothing was there, and nothing continues to be there in my Outlook. So I just went into the online spam folder in gmail and lo and behold... there they are! Don't know why they are not downloading like my other spam into my Outlook spam folder, but there they are online.
Sorry to waste your time, but thanks for helping! I should have checked online instead of depending on Outlook. My bad!
