porting number after initial set up

Post by shenificent »

hi there

I currently have two active phones lines at home - one with bell and one with freephoneline.

I want to port my bell phone number to my existing freephoneline account, ie I want to get rid of my freephoneline # and use my bell # instead.

Is this possible?

Thx

Yeah, that is what porting is, and Fongo will port your Bell phone number for you to freephoneline for a $25 fee.

Some things to consider though. If you are using DSL for your internet, you will need to get a dry loop, which is usually around $10 a month. Talk to your DSL provider on the costs.

The other thing is that Fongo will only port from exchanges that Fongo already has. So if you are in the boonies, and there is no local Fongo number, you are not going to be able to port the Bell number.
