Just wondering.
Had a FPL account but I had not used it for 3 months. Naturally as written in the facts it was deleted.
I rarely used it but it was necessary. Last year I received an email telling me to use my account before some days or account would be deleted. This time I did not receive any emails. So I have to start the process of a new account all over again.
My question is, rather than re-creating the account as it must not have been deleted long ago, can it rather be reinstated (if asked) in order to get the same phone number?

Re: Account deleted after 3 months no use
Unfortunately the way our system is designed we are not able to reactivate an account. The purpose of us deleting inactive accounts is to free up numbers for new users, so it wouldn't make sense to simply suspend the account and keep the number in reserve. You can sign up for a new account and pick any number, then contact support and see if your old number is still available and we can give you your old number back.callopsitte_himself wrote:Just wondering.

Re: Account deleted after 3 months no use
The 3 month deletion policy doesn't apply to $50 paid SIP accounts, right?

I do not believe so. I think if any money is put in, the account is safe. If I am wrong, hopefully I will get clarification.Liptonbrisk wrote:The 3 month deletion policy doesn't apply to $50 paid SIP accounts, right?

That's a fair policy. Thanks

Re: Account deleted after 3 months no use
What does "no use" mean? An account with no calls, and zero activity?
I'm new to FPL, and basically all I paid for $50 for sip file, $25 for porting the number. If I only make local calls for the rest of my life, then technically it means I don't have to pay another cent for the rest of my life. Is there anything I need to worry about to make sure my account is "active" so it doesn't get deleted?

You do not have to worry. Only free accounts get deleted when the account is not used. After paying for SIP settings, they only way you could lose your account is if you were abusing it, spam calling is a good example.Degenerate wrote:What does "no use" mean? And yes Fongo is too good to be true, but it is true nonetheless.
