Two Thumbs Up ...

Post by njchan »

I'm in no way affiliated with FPL or any other company remotely related to this service ... but just wanted to say thanks for a viable alternative to Bell and Rogers home phone.

I think we all work in jobs where others are quick to blame and overly critical of various things when they're not 100% perfect ... but we don't live in a perfect world ... and to be blunt, if you wanted 'perfect' service just like your old bell line, then call bell and reconnect. I'll be the first to admit - I had 3 dropped calls the other night. but after browsing the forums, taking some suggestions, everything seems to be alright (for now) ... but, I think if all users faced the facts; we all came to FPL because it was cheaper than the previous phone method we were using - then we should accept it for what it is ... a less expensive alternative. I'm sure FPL would be just as good as bell / rogers if we all paid $50/month.

Anyways ... just wanted to say thanks - from a newbie - to Steve and Kris ... + the rest of the FPL team for a great job. setup was a breeze ... the price is right ... and I'm satisfied for the ongoing cost to reliability ratio.

cheers!

ha if you like the dropped calls that much you can always simulate it by hanging up.. i find this works best when talking to your boss and he's not talking about a promotion. or annoying friend that chats there brain off. or collector. i like this service, even with the dropped call. It's free. My only worry is FPL will go under.

i remember talking to rogers the other day, upgrading my internet plan, she's said it would take 10 to 15 min to take affect.. just as she said that, my internet and phone call dropped.. O i guess it didn't take that long to do..

I suspect more people would get a much better freephoneline experience when they dump their particular internet carrier. Or at the very least, upgrade their routing gear. Rogers, in particular are really sneaky and nasty to VOIP, and I have first hand experience with the bald faced lies they have tried to shovel my way. I am impressed with the support provided here. The big carriers should emulate this, instead of trying to lie their way out of situations, and passing the buck.

I have had FPL for a few months now, and have yet to have ANY dropped calls in fact I have not had any issues with this service. Its been nothing but 100% perfect! Maybe I dont get dropped calls as im on Shaw cable and not Rogers? I have recommended this service to a few friends and hopefully more in the future.

Keep up the good work FPL!
