Change my outgoing caller ID to Anon (no number) with HT701?

Post by mh1983 »

Hi all,

Just recently set up FPL services on an HT701 that I got second hand. Am very impressed with the service and especially the caliber of community support here. Am happy to have gone with FPL and appreciate all your help!

I didn't have any luck finding an answer to my question, so am hoping someone can help me out here. For now, I'd like to mask my phone number. I looked at the HT701 user manual and saw that there's a "SEND ANONYMOUS" setting.

So I ticked that box and saved changes. The setting does override sending my name but it still shows my number. I'd like both to be omitted from my outgoing calls, if possible. Is there any setting or combo of settings to achieve this?

TIA!

It is FPL's policy to always pass on your phone number when you make an outgoing call, so unfortunately it won't be possible to block everything. The settings you change in your ATA will not make a difference, they will still pass along your number to the party you are calling.

Sorry I didn't have a better answer for you :)
