Hi everyone.
Is every incoming phone call logged regardless if someone answers or not? What is supposed to happen if someone calls, lets it ring for one second and then immediately hangs up before someone is able to answer the phone? Someone has been calling my house about 10x in the past 10 minutes, lets it ring once, and then hangs up before I can answer. I check the call logs and no calls have been logged since 5:10pm when I called home. Shouldn't the phone number still appear in the logs even if no one answers the phone on my side?

Re: Call Logs
It sounds like a SIP scanner is trying to hack you. Since you don't say what ATA and router you use, it is impossible for us to give you any specific advice on how to solve this problem.

Re: Call Logs
Thanks for your reply. I'm still very new to using VOIP phones as I've only been a member since Jan. I'm using just a standard LINKSYS WRT router and a Sipura/SPA2000 as my ATA. Everything was setup for me by my brother so I don't have much info on it.Mango wrote:It sounds like a SIP scanner is trying to hack you. Any advice on how I can fix this problem? I'm going to leave my ATA unplugged for the remainder of the night.

Re: Call Logs
If you are using port forwarding or DMZ on your router, remove it.
Try to change your ATA's SIP Port to a random number between 20000 and 65535.
Hopefully my guess is correct and that will solve the problem.
