Use of freepholine for a small non-profit organization

Post by intplus »

Hi,

I would like to know if I can legally subscribe to a freephoneline account for my small non-profit organization? We are a small local sport association near Montreal and we would like to have a phone number and voicemail so that people can reach us by phone. We have no physical address and paying $30+ per month for a business phone line is just too expensive.

If this usage is not possible with freephoneline, do you have an alternative service to suggest us? We don't actually need a phone line. All we need is a phone number and a voicemail that transfers the voice messages by email or, at least, an email notification that someone left a message.

Thanks!

I see no issue using the service for this purpose. Only problem I can see is if the service is used for canvassing and a lot of complaints are lodged against it. But as a voicemail service, this would be an ideal service for you and cost your organization nothing.
