I am having a new problem today. I don't know when the problem started happening. This worked fine a few weeks ago.
Outgoing calls drop after 50 seconds. Before that the call is crystal clear.
Incoming calls remaining connected and do not drop.
What has changed in the service?

Re: outgoing call drops after 50 seconds
Have you tested to confirm whether the call actually drops, or you lose one side of audio? In other words, can the POTS end hear you speak?
Have you also tested making calls to different geographic areas to see if the problem happens everywhere? If you haven't tried Vancouver, 604-299-9000 is a test number you can use without bothering anyone.

Re: outgoing call drops after 50 seconds
The call drops as the phone has a on-off tone indicating the call has dropped.
I have found the source of the problem - I changed my router a few weeks ago from a netgear N300 to a Cisco Linksys EA6500.
I put the old router in place and the call works fine. So, now I need to find out the proper configuration of the new router.

Re: outgoing call drops after 50 seconds
Problem is the "SIP" checkbox in the EA6500 router. Warning to others: this can not be on or the call drops.
