Touch Tone with ATA

Post by blairfleming »

Tones are not passing through to the destination, such as the FPL Voicemail. This is also an issue with other termination points such as my offices auto-attendant. For example, press 1 to Play VM - the entry of 1 is not recognized.

Oddly, this worked just fine until we moved homes. So, there is the variable of a new DSL line - though the provider remains the same (Yak Communications).

Help please...many thanks in advance.

Could you enter your ATA, click "admin login" then "switch to advanced view", could you then navigate to "Line 1" and scroll to the very bottom of the page and take screenshots of what you see from Supplementary Service Subscriptions to the bottom?

The settings on this section should be as follows:

Could you send a screenshot of the "Audio Configuration" tab?

changed the Supplementary Service Subscriptions settings per your instructions. No change...tones are still not working. Attached is your request for the Audio Configuration.

Thanks again.

Nope, that didn't fix it.

But this did...

Preferred Codec = G711U
DTMF Tx Method = INBAND

No wonder touch tones don't work anymore!!! FPL changed the preferred codec from G729 to G711?? No wonder everytime I call my any landline and press the options on the phone, it does not accept it!!! Yes, its definitely something was done or changed on FPL's end, because it used to work for me without any problems before.

I am having the same issue...no tones from my phone are being recognized by the voicemail system. I can't find this DTMF tx in my ATA configuration.

I wanna be able to check my voicemail from my pap2v2 connected handset instead of having to go online via webbrowser to chk voicemails.

Click the "Admin Login" (should be towards the top right under where it says "PAP2") link and then go to "Line 1". The option will be bottom left.

Sorry, my reply won't really help you, we are using much different versions of the PAP2T.

My version is Firmware Version: 5.1.6(LS)

Maybe your version just doesn't have it. Can you upgrade your PAP2T?
