No voicemails are forwarded to my email

I have a FreePhoneLine phone number, after applying for a number on the FPL website. In https://www.freephoneline.ca/voicemailSettings, the "Voicemail to Email" option I chose was "Forward". I've tried calling my FreePhoneLine phone number many times over several days, and leaving messages to myself, but I never get an email.

Please help.

I've changed the voicemail-to-email setting to Copy (so that I'll have access to the voicemails in BOTH my email and on the FPL website). Well, now I can access the voicemails in in the FPL website. But I still haven't seen any emails with the voicemails.

I wrote Fongo Support a "support ticket". They recommended changing email addresses. Well, I've changed to a brand new email address and I still don't see any voicemails in my email. I've even checked the Spam folder.

What type of ATA are you using? Perhaps you could try changing your SIP server from voip to voip2 (or vice versa depending on your setup).

I'm sorry to hear the issue persists; I wish I had some more troubleshooting steps to suggest, but hopefully others in the forum can chime in.

Could you try to disable forward for awhile and make some test calls/receive VM the old fashioned way? Then from there, maybe switch over to the email forward option again?

Hello, mh1983, I'm not using any ATA at all. All calls to my FPL number are answered by the FPL answering machine after 2 rings. I then just want to see the voicemails in my email.

SOLVED: I changed forward-to email address

Dear all,
Thank you for taking the time to help me. I changed the forward-to email address and now things work.

When I previously said that I changed my email address, I realized it was just changing the email address I use to log into my FPL account.

I found that Gmail was sending my voicemails to the Spam box. Using a Yahoo or Outlook email address fixed that problem.

just for everyone's info, I'm using gmail without any problem.

Hey, sorry for the delay. I meant to switch off the email forwarding option and just have VM's retrieavable from a phone connected to an ATA (which you mentioned you don't have) or the software client. From there, switch back to the email forward option.
