Back a few months ago (almost 1 year), FPL announced "PAY AS YOU GO to be available very soon..." How close do we have to wait? I'm sure most of the users on here would definitely pay for this service if it becomes available. Normally, when something as important as "generating more revenue", wouldn't it be first priority for FPL? I don't understand whats causing the delay.

Kris/Admin posted an announcement about this earlier today actually. A script has been running to get all the existing accounts ready to be integrated with this system without causing balance/billing issues.
The system is done and being tested and all the servers are provisioned.

It's mostly just a case of testing, and testing again, to make sure everything is flawless. This is a very large overhaul for freephoneline, and is bringing many new features to our service along with the pre-paid long distance. Any overlooked bugs could cause issues!

We do accept the fact this has been on the website for well over a year. The past couple of months it took a serious hike and was given a serious deadline and thus is now as close as I outline above. There's been a lot of things thrown in the way of this development that we've had to work around but are confident that the wait will be worth it!

Any word on when the Pay-As-You-Go service will be implemented?
I'd like to make international calls, but do not need the monthly fee packages as I don't call that much.

I was surprised when my post was gone from the other board, as I wanted to check for a reply.
But I found it here and got a response.

I just got my ATA activated (3 days wait for the config info), so would like to be able to call International as well.
Hopefully the service will be released soon.
