Hello
I signed up for the flat rate plan to make International Long distance calls ( USA and 50 countries) I think FPL Resells the service from another provider anyway they associate my FPL number with the contact number (416) 848-4410, after call a recorded voice tell me to wait for the dial tone to start dialing the number. However I can not make the call.
I have a SIPURA 2102 with FPL in Line1
I have a Cordless phone DECT 6.0 General Electric
After dial the access number hear the dial tone I started to dial the international number and I can hear the dial tone anytime I punch a number never goes away and the call can not be completed.
I change the phone and I put an old bell phone with touch tone enable and I was able to complete the call without problems, I put an old Cordless phone Uniden 2.4 Ghz. and some times can complete the call and sometimes can't.
If the call was completed using the old phone that means the settings in my sipura box are ok, perhaps In order to make the other cordless phone work ( DECT 6.0 ) I need to tune up some parameters in the Sipura Box
Could you please Help me
Thank you
Alejandro

Freephoneline and Worldline are both a part of the Fibernetics Corp. group of companies.amaldonadoortec wrote:Hello

Try seeing if the cordless phone has DTMF options or allows you to change between tone, pulse, etc. It should be 'tone' dialing.amaldonadoortec wrote: I change the phone and I put an old bell phone with touch tone enable and I was able to complete the call without problems, I put an old Cordless phone Uniden 2.4 Ghz. and some times can complete the call and sometimes can't.

Re: Can not Make Long Distance Call
Thank you for your response
My cordless phones are set to tone however I still have problems with that DTMF I have tried many things changing some configuration parameters on the SIPURA 2102 box without success. For now only the old corded phone works good and some times the old 2.4 GHz cordless phone I am still researching on DTMF for SIPURA to see if there is anything I can tune up or perhaps the company has another access number that works better

Re: Can not Make Long Distance Call
What access number are you currently using? You could try the Toronto one (416) 848 4401 - I always use that one when I need to test things. However, they all point back to the same system, so theoretically number shouldn't make a difference unless we've having isolated problems along the route.
The Sipura should have some DTMF settings though - most ATAs will have them in the settings
