Hi,

I installed Fongo on my Androiid phone to test but also have a blackberry that I use. When I was traveling last week, I only brought my blackberry and installed fongo but for some reason I could not use my existing account and had to create a new account with new phone number. The weird thing is that I used the same e-mail with different a different password. I was able to use Fongo with the new number on my blackberry.

When I went to the web portal, the only number that showed up is the one associated to my blackberry.

My question is:

Is it possible to have one account / number with Fongo and use it between the Android phone and the blackberry as long as I am not using it on both at the same time?

That is not possible.

Hi,

I do not want to use both at the same time but alternate between the two depending which phone I take with me. Can I log out of one device and login Fongo on the other one?

And why is only one of the phone numbers I registered showing up when I login to my account ont the web portal? The number I got on the android shows up but not the one I got for the Blackberry and I registered both with the same e-mail.

Yes of course you can log out of one and back in with another. You can even have both logged in at the same time, but you won't know which one will ring, if either of them. They will just keep stealing the registration from each other. But if you want to log out of one and back in with the other, that is not a problem.

You can only have one account per email. As that is your login details it will only ever be possible to have one phone number per email account. The only things I can think of is either your original account has been closed for some reason, or you used a different email address for the other account. To get this sorted you will have to send in a support ticket to them explaining the situation, along with the phone number of the other account, and see if they can find out what has gone on with it.

I know this is not what you have asked about, but one thing you can do is daisy chain two numbers so you can have Fongo on both phones. The idea is is on your 1st phone (say the android) you have your main number. You set up a different number on your BB phone and forward the android number to the BB number. You can do this in your online admin, and there is a couple of options as to how it rings, either all in one go or one at a time. This way when a call comes into your main number and you don't have that phone with you, it will still ring on the other one without you having to switch logins. The only downside is outgoing calls made on your BB phone will have your second number.

Thanks. I will have to check with support then because I just tested and I can send a fongo text from my bb to my android and it works with no issues. Yet when I login to the Fongo portal, it still only shows the fongo number I use of my android. I remember when I installed Fongo on the blackberry, it would not accept my login so somehow it let me create another account with the same e-mail. Very weird but I wonder if Blackbeery Fongo is handled differently somehow.

Regarding the forwarding, would there be a way to do this for text messages as well?

That is probably it, if you created the accounts on different phones then they are probably stored on different databases. I obviously have no idea how the backend of things work, I can only gleam things from situations like this.

I do know if the account is made on an IOS device then it is fixed to only be used on IOS devices, where if you create one on an android phone you can also use it on IOS devices. Or at least that is how it used to be.

As far as I know, there is no way to forward text messages, sorry.

I would be interested to know what support comes back with. It may help others in the future.

I imagine Android and BB10 accounts would be part of the same database, since the BB10 app is a port of the Android app.
