Fongo on custom Roms

Post by Snowboardphil1 »

I fongo as my main cell phone line with a data plan only on my samsung sgh-i727r (galaxy S2 skyrocket) and have recently flasshed my phone with a custom de-bloated version of an official ROGERS samsung sgh-i727r ROM with android 4.1.2.

When I use Fongo on WIFI, (would have to confirm it does it on 4G), the calls sometimes get cut durring conversation. From my end, the call seams to quit with a sentence saying ''sorry for problems encoutered...'' (it's not the exact phrasing but just somthing like that because I have the french language enabled)''. I then acknowledge the message and phone back right away to get talking again.

The person on the other side, just cant here me anymore and receives a call on it's second line and can terminate our first inactive call and answer me calling on it's second line.

It happened to me 3 times during my last 20 minutes conversation.

The custom ROM installed comes with a fairly large ''Developpers options'' menu in android's setting where I can enable tracing some processes and their activity. I wonder if I could get an idea of what's going on in the app for it to close down calls like this ?

Anyone with a suggestion please ?

The other problem with some custom roms is they may not use the hardware audio feedback cancellation feature of the phone, which tends to be better than anything a software solution can do. A quick and dirty fix is to use a headset, or headphones so the feedback problem is no longer a problem.
