how to remove or reset the message waiting flashing light

i had a voicemail, so the message indicator was flashing, after i heard my voicemail and even deleted the message, the LED is still flashing and i hear the busy-like tone before the normal dial tone, how do i reset it?
when i go to user 1 tab on my ATA (spa3102) and disable the option (message waiting) the LED goes off, but when i reactivate it the LED return flashing, i checked my voicemail but no new messages.

i have a tech. question, the voice mail alert, is it a continuous signal between the serer to the ATA and the ATA and the telephone ? or is it a latch-like signal (set/reset) between server-ATA and ATA-phone

Easy way to do it:
-leave yourself another message
-check your VM, listen to all new messages
-hang up
-wait a bit
-should be cleared
