Porting Landline to Fongo Mobile App

Can I port my landline number to the Fongo mobile app (paying the number porting cost) while keeping my third party mobile phone number and minutes/data plan active?

I'd like to effectively have two #s on my mobile, the existing "mobile" as is and my home phone operating via the Fonego app (that runs mostly on my home wifi and infrequently if ever on the bandwidth of the mobile data plan). If so, I will have to experiment with how the two numbers (mobile phone and app) operate when both being used.

Once you successfully port your land line number over to Fongo, your land line will be inactive. If you have a DSL line connected to it, you might have to pay a dry loop fee. You would have to talk to your landline telco to get better details.

You mobile phone plan and number should not be affected at all, because you are not porting any number from there.
