Anyone else noticed that SMS Text Messages from many businesses simply never arrive? Create a Paypal account and add your Fongo Mobile Number - Paypal sends an SMS message to validate the number, but it never arrives. SMS Text Messages from BMO (Bank of Montreal) alerting to withdrawals and low balance alerts never arrive. Weekly balance alerts from American Express no longer arrive. Et cetera.

Using my regular cell, I've noticed that Google sometimes sends verification codes from a shortcode account (5 digits, often 22000), and sometimes sends them from a ?regular cell account? - ie from a 10-digit (###) ###-#### number. Don't know whether others do that?
