Why on earth would I be required to have a SMS capable mobile phone number (or any other phone number for that matter) , to sign up for freephoneline.ca? I currently only have a Vancouver number that is not SMS capable
I once had an account that was probably closed for lack of use, but i can find some old emails relating to that old account, and I can not request password as it does not accept the email address as recognized.
So here I am with no old freephoneline account and unable to register due to the SMS requirement.
Does not seem so "free" if I have to have a cell phone to just to get it.
Maybe someone has a cell phone number that can receive the SMS for me?
Also will there be issues using freephoneline.ca outside of Canada?

I don't know the answer to this. There's a related discussion at http://forums.redflagdeals.com/freephon ... #p26791084markosjal wrote:Why on earth would I be required to have a SMS capable mobile phone number (or any other phone number for that matter) , to sign up for freephoneline.ca? You might want to send in a ticket and ask: https://support.fongo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
There can be ifAlso will there be issues using freephoneline.ca outside of Canada?
1. A foreign ISP blocks voip.freephoneline.ca, voip2.freephoneline.ca, or voip4.freephoneline.ca, or
2. your pings and, especially, jitter to the SIP servers listed in #1 are huge.
FPL's SIP servers in Ontario. The further away you are from a server you're using, the greater the chance for issues to arise.
Otherwise, no.
