Support for Mac OS X 10.5 PowerPC
I am wondering whether you can provide a package (even an unsupported one) that's compatible with Java 5, and with all native code compiled to universal binary, so that PPC Mac users like me can also test out your service. Right now, version 1.1 of your Mac softphone application will start on Mac OS X 10.5.8 PowerPC and can even call a landline, but I can't hear the person at the other end, nor can they hear me.

I also tried the 2.0 beta version, and it appears version 2.0 is even less functional than the old version. It won't even start up completely, and certainly didn't register with the SIP server.

I'm not entirely sure that the programming team will devote time to developing for an older platform right now.
We may make a few transitions of coding platforms in the coming months which may help, but until then I won't be able to offer a better solution sorry.

Even if you don't have a PowerPC machine, I am sure you can still build Universal binary on Intel Macs (Xuggle definitely compiles on PPC). Again, I realize that you don't have the resources to test on PPC machines. I am only interested in an Universal binary build to test the voice quality.FPL-steve wrote:I'm not entirely sure that the programming team will devote time to developing for an older platform right now.
