i just got an email telling me my account has been permanently closed
why is that?

Generally speaking an account will be closed for one of four reasons:1337zero wrote:i just got an email telling me my account has been permanently closed

1) The account was not certified and was left inactive for too long
2) The account holder provided an invalid or fake address and we could not contact them after several attempts to correct this -- See here for details
3) The account was terminated due to abuse (but I don't think we've done any of these lately)
4) The account holder, or someone else, accessed their account control panel and canceled it.

what do u mean by not certified?
inactive meaning not logging into the account?
if it was number 3, i didnt get any email or phone call to correct my address.. all i got was an email telling me my account is closed

Inactive means not used at all (no logins, no calls)

I assume only the accounts without CONFIG FILE purchase can be closed right? If one purchases a config file and ported their line over from another company, then there is no way FPL can close that account.

Correct, there even if the account is outside the Terms of Account Closure I linked above if it has a config file or LNP it will NOT be closed.
