Nouveau service internet

Post by Loukas »

Bonsoir,
J'ai changé de fournisseur internet et mon téléphone à la maison (freephoneline.ca) ne fonctionne plus.
Est-ce que vous savez ce qu'on doit faire dans cette situation pour régler ce problème?
Merci à l'avance.

Good evening,
I changed internet service provider and the home phone line (freephoneline.ca) doesn't work anymore.
Do you know what needs to be done in order for the home phone line to work like before?
Thank you

Sorry, I can't write French well.

1) What brand and model modem are you using? Is it a Bell Hub?

2) What brand and model router are you using?

3) What brand and model ATA or IP Phone are you using?

If you don't have your own router and are just using a Bell Hub, try performing PPPoE login using your ATA or IP Phone.

Hi,

Thanks for replying.
Yes it is a Bell Hub (Home hub 2000).
No router right now following installation with Bell.
Question 3, I am not sure about the answer to this question. ATA is analog telephone adapter correct? The phone is Siemens model and it says Server not accessible on the screen.
I clicked on options on the phone but did not see anything regarding PPPoE login…
Is there a manual explaining this or a certain procedure to follow?

Have a good day.

I'm not familiar with Siemen's gigaset IP phones. You'll need someone to respond here who is, but you should probably provide the specific model number if you want help.
Some Siemen's Gigaset IP phones do have the option to perform PPPoE in them, under Network Settings-->IP Settings-->IP Assignment-->PPPoE.
I'm just looking at a random Siemen's manual online.

Check to ensure you’re using server names (voip.Freephoneline.ca:6060) and not IP addresses:

Also, if you’re having DNS issues, you can try these: https://www.quad9.net/faq/
