Display Name: What doesn't work

Post by FrostZone »

Well, I was setting up an ATA PAP2T-NA for a friend and started to think we had a bad ATA devive.

... not the case, the Display Name: Mr. & Mrs. Lewis is not acceptable. We get a dial tone but the call would not send.

the & symbol or the . is the problem. Therefore Dave Lewis is what we settled on.

just some information that might help someone trouble shoot their problem. :D

The use of ampersand in display name not working is old news, anyway, thanks for the info. It does not work on most VOIP's (if not all), including FPL...however, I really hope this will change in the future! :)
