I agree, if FPL were to offer some incomming lines for an area that is not already covered (or another backup) to SipBroker sites already they would gain fees for non-FPL callers calling to call all around the world. Would that help your business case?
Also the annual fee would have to be something like $5 max, as most providers provide this for free and also if charged by the minute it is usually at 0.001 - 0.005 per minute maximum when they forward this call to an outside PTSN line.
Oh, I just called my friend in Calgary, AB from my office Bell line through sipbroker and it works!
I dialed 416-900-3666
after the voice prompt, I dialed *8841-1-403-879-xxxx
and voila, free phone call to FPL in Alberta from a Bell line in Brampton!

You're one of the lucky ones. I get "this account number is not valid" and I did it the same way as you did. The phone number I used was ported from Primus about a month ago. I can try my other line, but it's 12:30am at the moment and I'll have to do it later.

In the end I just routed my SIP call to the actual IP of the phone. DYNDNS helps me determine the current IP.
SIP:1xxxXXXxxxx@dyndnswebsite.org:5060 (or the port number for that line). I needed to forward the port in my router to forward to the SPA and it works like a charm... the only thing is that I can't get voicemail from FPL or forward the call with forwarding options.
Perhaps FPL would consider opening this up (and since they have a large POP presence, they may wish to add inbound POP service for SipBroker or iNum and collect the incomming tolls).
