Cannot register

The security code on the registration page does not show up in firefox and shows as an X in IE

If i enter a random number I get the following error when submiting the form

We discovered an issue with the CAPTCHA image earlier today around 15:15, we've been working on a resolution and one should be expected within the next 48 hours.
