I accessed HT801 config page using admin pwd and tried to update the FXS PORT setting so I can use my home alarm system...after change, I selected Update then Apply then Reboot.... but after that I see that some settings are saved but others are not ? like DTMF preferred priority and Preferred Vocoder kept the same and did not accept my change values? any help please

Fongo Home Phone is a locked service; the ATA is locked to Fongo's provisioning server.

That the HT-801 ATA you bought from Fongo connects automatically to Fongo's configuration server and downloads settings when the ATA first powers on and connects to the internet. Users aren't supposed to make changes themselves. If you wish to request a change, you'll need to submit a ticket: https://support.fongo.com/hc/requests/new. I don't know what their policy is with respect to requesting specific setting changes, and they could state that they won't support your specific alarm system (or the request): https://support.fongo.com/hc/articles/2 ... ty-Systems.

Thanks for the update "Liptonbrisk":
Side note, I noticed that I can change and save the FXS PORT settings if I do not reboot. I dont see any impact on my VOIP calls with cfg change....
Question: Does the ATA consumes the cfg I saved if I don't reboot?
"may keep doing that after each pwr loss...just in case Fongo rejects my request to update the FXS PORT..."

When the ATA reboots or power cycles (off/on), it connects to the configuration server again if the ATA has internet access, and setting changes are reverted to what Fongo wants. I'm probably not supposed to discuss the possibility of disabling that from happening, so I wont. If you want to keep manually changing settings after each ATA startup, that's your choice.
