Grandstream HT812 Configuration

Post by Siward44 »

My Grandstream HT812 ATA is behind a Rogers (Canada) Infinity Router/Cable Technicolor CGM4331COM Gateway/Modem. The LAN port of the Gateway is connected to the WAN port of the ATA. The gateway firewall is set to "Low" for IPv4.

I followed the Grandstream HT701 guide v5 for all the settings on the HT812 except the firmware part as I did it differently.

You can try upgrading the firmware by uploading a *.bin file, but I got the below error which is mentioned in the firmware changelog.
Attempted to send content larger than allowed limits

I upgraded to the latest firmware version 1.0.63.3 as of 9/5/2025 using the HTTPS grandstream public server method. Goto the Advanced Settings > Upgrade and Provisioning:

1) Upgrade Via: HTTPS
2) Firmware Server Path: firmware.grandstream.com
3) Always Check for New Firmware at Boot up: Checked

Make sure WAN is connected with internet access. Apply and reboot to start firmware flash. When finished, log back in and check firmware version on Status page. Then immediately disable further firmware upgrades in the Advanced Settings > Upgrade and Provisioning
1) Always Skip the Firmware Check: Checked

Remember to click on Apply.

I have attached all HT812 screens with my SIP credentials removed for Freephoneline. I left out the screens that you do not need to edit. These configurations follow the HT701 guide v5 but with the newer firmware version GUI.
