out going number blocked

Post by saleem107 »

“I’m using Fongo’s free home phone service (a landline), but my outgoing caller ID isn’t showing up. When I call someone, they only see ‘Private Number’ instead of my actual number. What can I do to fix this?”

Ensure that you've not accidentally enabled Caller ID block on your SPA112. Dial *68 to remove caller ID blocking on all outbound calls.
Don't use "Anonymous" for display name in your ATA. Don't use or accidentally dial *67.

1. a) Dial ****
b) Then dial 110#
c) Enter the IP address you hear into a web browser.
d) Login to your SPA112
e) Always choose the admin login and advanced view menus

2. Navigate to Voice tab-->Line (use for FPL)-->Subscriber Information-->Display Name
a) Enter your first and last name. Do not use "Anonymous".
b) Click "Submit"

3. In your ATA, navigate to Voice tab-->Line tab (whichever you use for FPL)-->Supplementary Service Subscription-->Block CID Serv:
a) change to no
b) Click "submit"

4. Reboot/Power cycle (off and on) ATA.

5. Test by calling a Fongo Mobile number. Check incoming CID name (Caller ID name). If that works, the problem is on the other end.
