I have one FPL account with SIP settings purchased. I have successfully used this account with a home ATA device, and with an iPhone application.
Now the question. I have my home ATA logged in to the SIP account at all times. If I'm on the road one day and would like to make a call with my iPhone with my FPL account, will it cause trouble? Will the service allow me to log in, but then kick me out as my home ATA possibly re-connects? Will both units work but only one capable of receiving calls? Does this violate an FPL policy?
It's really more for the occasional "I'm not home and would like to make a local call here" kind of thing, since we have this great coverage with FPL, and I also bought some calling cards for extremely cheap long distances with FPL.

Re: SIP on several devices
I have never tried this with FPL but with some others, it's like this:
-once you log on to your softphone, it will knock off ATA offline
-when ATA registers again, it logs off the softphone.
Easy fix for occasional use is to set registration interval in you ATA to a big number. So you'll be able to make a lengthy call on your softphone.

Re: SIP on several devices
zombie999 is correct in how our service would work if multiple SIP devices attempt to register.

Re: SIP on several devices
Clever trick.
What about it another SIP registers while the first is in a call? Does it knock the call off, or will it just prevent it from receiving/sending more calls?
