PAP2T no incoming calls

Post by gvardan »

Hi,
Since morning, incoming calls stopped working on our phone( calls are going to voice mail directly), out goings are fine. It was all fine till last night. I remember my sister was telling she pressed *78# or something by mistake for voice mail. I dunno that's what caused this.. But yea all the settings seems to be fine. I even tried restarting everything. Even the port 5060 is directed properly in Virtual Servers!!
Is this something on my side?? has anyone had this problem before?? any solution? plz its kinda urgent... :(

Thank you,

Hi gvardan,

If you didn't touch any settings then the problem is probably not yours. + You said you checked them and they seem fine. As for *78 I don't think it should do anything cause you have to press 4 times the star key to get in the settings (or did your sister do that?).

Anyway I suggest you PM Kris (admin) with your FPL number and he'll check it out.

Your sister just activated DO NOT DISTURB feature! That explains why all your calls go directly to voicemail. If I remember right *79 should deactivate it. :)

Zeeshannasim,

Have you checked your device configuration with one of the guides on our forum? (Permitting you have one of those devices).

What happens when someone calls your line, does it go to voicemail? You said it is 'disconnected', what exactly do you mean?

You said when you phone your Bell line, it is not ringing - Is this from your freephoneline number or is it not ringing in general (ie. did you port your number in)?

I already checked all configuration / parameters according to the guide on forum (ATA - Config - Linksys PAP2T 02-24-10.pdf). When some one call my FPL number they heared bussy dial tone, it doesn't go on voicemail and the phone set which i connect to FPL number is not ringing because the person who make a call on FPL number its doesn't go thru. I requested to port my current another home phone no. My current home phone line is working fine all the above said matter is regarding to FPL no.

I Called customer service, then I just restarted my linksys routers now every thing is working fine and I am able to receive my call too. thanks a lot
