I am a CallZone user and am not able to use it with my FPL.
http://www.onlinetel.com/en/callzone/callzone.html
I call a local access number to me, input my account details and pswd, listen to the blurb of being able to call anywhere in Canada now for FREE, get the dial tone and make my call.
I receive a response that says " This destination is not allowed ". The number I tried to call was my local number similar to my FPL (a Bell Canada #) so really its not long distance or anything of that nature. No matter where I attempt to dial with my FPL number, input my account details, input my number to be connected to the response is always the same " This destination is not allowed ".
Is there a problem with the FPL system not allowing calls with this service?
Thanks

Re: Cannot Use Callzone Service
Sounds like DTMF troubles on your end. Are you calling out of a softphone or ATA?
If ATA, try changing your DTMF settings to see which works best with the Onlinetel service. If softphone, you should be able to change DTMF types in the settings.

Re: Cannot Use Callzone Service
My hardware is an ATA SPA3102...which has been working fine on the FPL system. I have in the past been trying to use the Callzone access when they opened it up to all Canada Calling. This was approximately in late May. Whenever I had tried it with FPL it never allowed calls to be completed, although accessing with the Account Details and Password worked fine, so the DTMF tones must have worked to do that part.
Yesterday, I thought I would try it again and it didn't work and thus the post here.
Since your reply Steve-FPL I attempted to make it via the Softphone, but never got it to work, seems the lag, from Callzone system into my connection/computer really didnt allow the input etc to the other end.
I then attempted it again via the ATA and wouldnt you know it, it worked FINE. I will have to try it a few more times in the future to see if in fact it maintains its service. I know Callzone on occasion is a little flakey, but I think they are always doing upgrades/fixes much like FPL always does to improve service.
Thanks and I guess if it fails again, I can always resubmit here to keep you updated.
