Outgoing Calls cannot be made??????

Post by linuxxtuxx »

Hello Admin

my no is 514-447 0982 on which I am not able to make any call because when I dial a no the automated system answers "Your account balance is insufficient to place your call to that destination"

What does that mean?

Remember I am dialing a local 514 no so it should not be the case of long distance call!

freephoneline is without any monthly bill and top of that I have 50 countries calling plan added to my no and I am paying 14.99+tax every month!!!!

First I call to customer service yesterday and was asked to wait till tomorrow and it will be resolve by a technician then I again call this morning and another CSR promised me to give a call back shortly but now its been two hours and no one call me back!

Could anyone please resolve my problem as I do not have an unlimited outgoing phone line with me to call frequently to customer service!

Rgds,

Khalid :?

If you remember the names of who you spoke with - please PM them to me. It's unacceptable for our agents to promise calls back and not deliver.

Do your local calls work, or are you getting the error after every call?

If you have the $13.95/mnth long distance, are you remembering to dial the access number?

I'm just about to step out for 30 minutes, so I'll check for your response when I'm back and we can work from there.

Dear Steve

Thanks for your prompt reply, I really appreciate!

No, I did'nt ask the name of the person both times.

I am dialing a local 514 no and the same message is for every call.

Now I try to dial the long distance access no 514-448-9048 and again the same message I can hear!

Right now I am with another customer service person and holding him to come back with some feedback, he says supervisor is checking the reason why I am getting this message! :|

*****Update

I was asked to change the dial plan as per shown on my SIP settings which I did and surprisingly its working now, amazing as this same dial plan I was trying before and was not able to place calls so thats why I change to {x+|*x+} and it was working fine since than but suddently stop working yesterday evening.

anyway, its good now and the problem has been resolved but customer service team need some more attention specially when they promise to do something for customers!

Thanks Steve to take a minute for replying, you are great!

Regards,

Khalid :) :) :) :) :) :)

Have you checked your configuration against this thread?

http://forum.freephoneline.ca/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=330

Note the updated dial-plan given by our one user at the end of the second page.

Your account tests out just fine on my ATA here in the office, so it definitely seems to be a configuration issue - I'm thinking dial plan. Since you have a third-party ATA, we're very limited in what we are allowed to support with it and can only really support the service end of things.
