incoming calls fail

Post by angela »

I registered last night have successfully placed calls from the softphone client, but testing incoming calls fails. I either get a busy signal or a "unable to complete call" recording. tested from Shaw home phone and rogers cell. Its a 778 number.

You'll have to talk to FPL support to fix this issue. I can bet you there are issues with Shaw and/or Rogers routing the call to FPL's assigned 778 prefix.

Another possibility is that you did not setup the required port forwarding rules in your internet router to your computer.

Im having the same problem. I just opened my account this morning. I can make any phone call but i cannot receive. I tried Google voice, Skype, Home phone (telus) Cell phones (Fido/Rogers) and always I either get the busy signal or the "unable to complete call" recording.
The test connection shows this result:

Status Ready
Results call service is OK
Sound data transfer: OK
Possible reasons; NONE

Is there any problem with the service at this moment or is something related with my computers. The result is the same in a MacOsx 10.5.8 and Windows 7 64bit
My Phone is a 778 (vancouver)

thanks in advance.

Thanks laurent.
Still no luck with my FPL. No incoming calls at all. (Phone line, fido, rogers, skype, google voice) busy signal or unable to complete...
I can make any phone calls, the sound is perfect. But i cannot receive.

Im not using a router.
Im using a 4G wireless USB adapter. Im not in canada right now.

Any idea?
Thanks.

Does your 4G provider give you a publicly routable IP address? If not, then that is something that you and I can't fix.
