Hi
I got my new number from FPL, and I intend to buy the config file in order to test the service for a couple of months...
So I will have two phone lines for this period, just in case... My question is:
If I decide to keep FPL with ATA and I will pay to port my first (main) number to the FPL ATA adapter, do I have to buy also another config file? or is it included in the porting fee?
Thank you in advance

If you want to keep BOTH numbers (your current + current FPL #), then yes, however if you're just using the FPL number to test, and you're not giving it out to people to call you consistantly, then when you port your number from whatever your provider, it OVERWRITES your FPL number on the config (so you only ever have 1 number attached to a config)

Re: Porting number after buying config file
Thanks for your quick reply
I understand that, but the porting fee includes the modifications to the existing config file? I mean FPL people will automatically overwrite the existing number in the ATA config file during the porting process? or do I have to pay for another configuration file? Sorry if I confuse you

Re: Porting number after buying config file
It will be overwritten. The only change you'll need to make on your end is removing the old phone number from your ATA and replacing it with the ported number (once porting is completed and we notify you)agspo wrote:Thanks for your quick reply
