Hi,
I currently have my FPL number (in the 514 area) forwarded to a 418 (quebec city) based fido cellphone. I recently noticed that when I call the 514 number from a Bell cellphone, I receive the "Long Distance charges will apply" message. However, if I call from a landline or from a Fido cellphone, I don't get any message nor charges.
Would you have any idea for that behaviour? Since I'm calling a 514 number from a 514 cell/landline, that should be a local call, even if the followme function is activated with a LD number, isn't that true?
Thanks for your assistance as well as for providing this great service!
Laurent

Re: Long distance charges with followme activated
It sounds like Bell doesn't have something setup properly for our numbers in their system. Give them a shout, try to get as high up in the support chain as you can, and they'll fix it for you. Sounds to me like they missed adding the translations for those numbers into their routing system.

Re: Long distance charges with followme activated
it happened to me, i have a virgin(Bell network) cell phone in quebec city, when i called some local FPL numbers (not all) they charged me for long distance, so i called them, they refunded me and fixed their internal problem
