Invalid Password Error

Post by Bonsai »

Hi, I'm very new at VoIP so please bear with me. I have just signed up for the freephoneline service and would like to pair it with a softphone app for the iPhone called Bria. Everything sets up simply enough, I think, but when I try to dial any numbers, I am greeted by what I presume to be a freephonelin automated message stating 'that password is invalid.' I have tried changing my password to a different one and searched high and low on the forums for what could possibly be at the root of such an error. Is it because the password is encrypted and in order to get that I need to purchase the configuration settings for $50? But according to the FAQ, the config file is required only if I want to use an existing phone line, which is not what I'm trying to do?

You will require the SIP configuration settings for any external SIP usage - including other softphones. That would be why you are getting the error in this case :)

Sorry for double posting, but do you guys have a physical location where customers can make payments in person? I don't make purchases over the phone/Internet as a general rule of thumb. :(

We do have an office in Cambridge, ON but generally aren't setup to do sales in person. Our phone purchases are secure, and the credit card is ending up in the same system whether ordered through phone or in person. Of course all internal databases are not only highly encrypted, but are also stored in a secured location. We take privacy and security very seriously :)

Thank you for your help Steve, I'll have to consider it, but it's assuring to know that you have secure systems in place. :)
