Hi,
When I am using the freephoneline and another person calls me at the same time, will they be notified with my personal message and directed to leave a message or do they just get a busy signal?
I did a couple of tests and was a little disappointed that I got busy signals. What is the standard level of service?
Regards,
Ed

Re: Busy signal when line in use?
Are you using the softphone or an ATA?
If you have an ATA you will have call waiting - if you don't answer the waiting call, it will direct to voicemail.
Our softphone will have call waiting in the near future, but right now calls should go to voicemail if you are in another call. Unless for some reason your softphone isn't returning the fact it's in a call properly to our server and it goes busy. Do you have ports opened? Firewalls tried off? Etc?

Re: Busy signal when line in use?
Hi Steve,
Thanks for replying so quickly.
I use the softphone and actually didn't have to do anything with my ports/firewall/etc. I just installed the software and it worked! Having said that, do I have to tweak something to get this to work?

Re: Busy signal when line in use?
I have exactly the same problem as edp do.
3rd party call in while the freephoneline softphone is in use, the 3rd party get a busy tone after few seconds.
It should be a bug after server upgrade as I remember that I have this working before.

Looks like this thread being ignored.
No answer to our question from Steve or Kris???
Or did we have the right question to ask as it is never be a feature in softphone?

sl9280,
I will clarify this for you, but I believe that this has been a bug since before the upgrade and in our list of features to add to our software along with 'Hold' and some other basics.

Re: Busy signal when line in use?
Kris,
Thank you for the update. We are looking forward to the fix in the near future. It is a bit inconvenience while we are on the go and may miss important calls when we are in a conversation on the phone.
