I have a question: i have a FPL number on my ATA from maybe 3-4 years, i have also a Bell line, now i want to stop my Bell service and keep my Bell number but i want also to keep my FPL number, can i receive calls from both numbers on one account ?

They were going to introduce a system where you could add more numbers to your account, but that was a long time ago and never came about.

Your best bet will be to set up another FPL or Fongo account and get the Bell number ported to that account. From there you should be able to forward that number to your FPL number (assuming that is going to be your main number). So calls to your Bell and FPL numbers will ring your FPL number you have now, but all calls will obviously go out through the FPL number.

If you want your Bell number to be your main number (for outgoing calls) then the only thing I can suggest is to port your number in as above, then buy the unlock key ($50), set this account up on your ATA, then forward your FPL number to your ported Bell number.

Depending on your ATA you could set both accounts up on it, but that would mean you plugging two telephones in which might get confusing.

Another option is to use a PBX system, either set up on a spare computer in your house, or a 3rd party one online, like pbxes.org. That would be another topic though if you want to go that route.

If you want to keep both numbers, DON'T port the Bell number into your existing FPL account, otherwise your FPL number will be lost.

so i can port on a FPL number without buying the unlock key ? i think this is the best solution

Yes, they changed it a few years ago. Before you had to buy the unlock key, now you can just port in your number, I believe anyway. The option will be in your online account if you can. yes. When you create an account you will be given a FPL phone number, as you know. When you port in a phone number the ported number will replace the FPL number and the FPL number will go back into the pool of numbers for others. There can only be one phone number associated with each account.

This is why I said to create a new account first (so you get a new FPL number you don't care about) and then port your Bell number into that account. The temporary FPL number you were given will now be removed from your account and put back in the pool.
