Is there a way to expedite number ports?

Post by Bloodsong »

I'm just curious if there's anyway to expedite the number porting process.
I sent in my LOA today and CC payment on the phone with call center.
I was quoted 3-4 weeks, that makes me sad. I don't want to pay my greedy cell provider for that long :P
Anyway, playing the waiting game now, I used to work for Sprint, so I know better than to disconnect my number manually.

Sorry to distract you Steve/Kris from more pressing questions.

Haha no problem Bloodsong, how did you send in your paperwork? Email or fax?

3-4 weeks is an estimate, yes. But once I have your number I can give you a more accurate and possibly more desirable ETA!

No problem, clicked submit and then face-palmed. The last thing I want to do is see that e-mail get spammed, I can only imagine what that would do to the ETAs and Deadlines for request receipt.

Hmm yes that might put a damper on all of our LNP requests... Though I may just make some new friends
